What is an influencer? An influencer is someone who uses social media that can have anywhere from a few hundred to a few million followers. They drive engagement and conversation around a particular discussion, topic or area such as health & fitness, beauty, or travel. Most influencers have a loyal and highly engaged audience. And that’s why you should be using them if you’re a small business owner.



Small businesses struggle with brand awareness. It is difficult to get your name out there! It takes time to grow your social media presence. Influencer marketing can help grow that awareness for you. It is a great way to get your products in front of an audience with an authentic voice. Influencers can generate positive word-of-mouth for your new company as well as build consumer trust. It makes sense that people would be more willing to listen to someone they follow and look up to as opposed to an advertisement from a company they never heard of, right? As society makes the shift from traditional media to social media, consumers are looking at other fellow consumers to inform their purchasing decisions.

Influencers are trend setters. They have a loyal following for a reason. They are at the top of your newsfeed generating comments and attracting likes. Essentially, they have what you dream of.
